Among Portland State’s minimum admissions requirements are a high school diploma or equivalent, SAT or ACT scores that are consistent with PSU’s requirement per each student’s GPA, and 14 units of college preparatory coursework. For those students who do not have a high school diploma, they may apply for admission using a GED or aptitude testing. Students who are not admitted through any of these processes may be considered through an Appeal process.
Applications to the undergraduate programs are accepted on a rolling basis with a priority deadline of June 1 for the fall semester, with an application fee of $50. In addition to the application form and fee, students must provide SAT or ACT scores, and high school transcripts. Applications can be submitted on-line.
Minimum admission requirements include a high school graduation with a 3.0 GPA and fourteen units of college preparatory coursework: four years of English, three years of math, three years of social science, two years of science, and two years of a foreign language. A minimum test score on the SAT or ACT is only required for students who do not meet the 3.0 GPA requirement.
